Bushwick Open Studios: Ridgewood Artists Open Their Doors to the Public

Text from Arts in Bushwick

“Arts In Bushwick is an all-volunteer, non-hierarchical organization – we have a completely open structure, where anyone in the community who is willing to volunteer their time is welcome to join with us and take on a leadership role. Dozens of community members volunteer their time as organizers for each of our festivals and year-round, and many many more pitch in during our events. Check our calendar for upcoming mixers and meetings.”

Bushwick Open Studios (BOS) is an arts and culture festival hosted by the volunteer-run organization Arts in Bushwick and neighboring Ridgewood. Most studios are open 11am – 7pm on Saturday and Sunday of the festival with opening night festivities on Friday night.

This celebration of our neighborhood’s vibrant community and local art scene is free and open to the public. Open studios hours vary per artist, so check our events calendar for precise locations and times.

BOS has been running since 2006 and is New York’s largest open studios event, encouraging thousands of Bushwick and Ridgewood-based artists to open their doors and share their work. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a series of events, performances, and panels, coordinated by AiB. Participating artists, spaces, and events are listed on their event calendar.
