YES! The Fresh Pond Road Italian Festival IS BACK in Ridgewood, Queens!
The Italian Street Festival will be back on Fresh Pond Road! The 2-day event will be after Labor Day Weekend on Saturday, September 9th and Sunday, September 10th. You can view vendors and rides setting up on on Friday, Sept. 8th, 2017. Unlike the past few years, it will be just 2 days this year. The event has been around for 24 years.
Fresh Pond Road Street Festival Street Festival is a celebration of Italian American cultural heritage. The Federazione Italo-Americana di Brooklyn and Queens sponsors this annual fair. The fest will be located along Fresh Pond Road between Menahan Street and Palmetto Street.
This year, there maybe more than just Italian food. You could order Italian sausages, Polish sausages, zeppole, crepes, Egyptian food, arepas, funnel cake, strange potato fries, and more.
There will also be merchandise like handmade necklaces, toys, stuffed animals, CDs, dream catchers, watches, clothing, and other accessories. There will be rides for kids and live Italian music and entertainment to dance to. Restaurants on the strip will be open late and the 104 Precinct will be there to make sure it’s a family friendly weekend.
