This Sunday! Grand Opening of Ridgewood Community Garden!

“Ridgewood Community Garden is opening its gates. Come down to check out the great progress and learn what is planned for the 2017 growing season. New community members wanted! They will be preparing beds, planting seedlings, and sowing seed this weekend.”

Join the Ridgewood community for the grand opening of Grover Cleveland’s Ridgewood Community Garden! They are located at Metropolitan Avenue between Amory Ct. and Tonsor St. Members of Grover Cleveland High School and Ridgewood residents can come together in their new green space to learn, socialize, and enjoy the outdoors. Be a part of Sunday’s special events! 🌸🌷🌿

  • See the sub-irrigated planter prepared by GCHS students. They wil be filling the bed with soil and transplanting veggie seedlings!
  • Prepare and sow patches of wildflowers and sunflowers.

Get involved, bring a friend, and come see the great progress made on transforming the space. They will have some tools and gloves on hand, but feel free to bring your own shovels, trowels, or gloves along… the more the merrier!
